Subject: Linux Questionnaire

Hello,

My name is Eser and I am a student at American University in Washington, D.C., trying to finish up
my Master's Degree in Information Systems. I apologize in advance for approaching you this way
but I am writing a research paper on Linux and what benefits and drawbacks have actually been
gained by organizationsthat have been using Linux on their servers and desktops. I have searched
many Linux discussion boards and forums looking for people who could possibly provide answers and I
managed to find your email listed in the user groups at linux.org.

I feel that a lot has been made of Linux's technological and economical benefits for organizations
in the past few years but I don't think that there has been enough research conducted about the
actual benefits that have been realized by the company after Linux has been installed and in use.
If you could post this request on your user group list and ask users to complete the questionnaire,
I would greatly appreciate it. The questionnaire, which is posted at
http://68.49.195.106/questionnaire.html, is automated and users need to simply fill in their
responses and hit submit. The questionnaire should only take 10 minutes to complete.

This information will be used strictly for academic purposes, and I will share all of my results
with anyone who is interested. I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide. If you only
want to answer a few questions, that would also be very helpful.

Thank you for your time,

Eser
