Hey Al, Needless to say, after you've made any changes: /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb restart Consulted my notes... The user on the Win box, has to be logged in using the same id and pass, as exists on the Linux box. So, if you login with a certain user and pass in Win, login as that user in Lin, before you try to view the newly created share. HTH, E
