Regarding an earlier question I had about KDE and knotify generating SIGSEGVs. The problem was I didn't delete the old QT stuff from /usr/lib. I had a qt directory and some libraries to remove then everything worked fine. I'm not a C programmer, so I just followed kde.org's directions verbatim. Just pointing this out for reference.
