I'm running it with Sun's JVM.  It didn't object when I installed it,
though I have had a couple of crashes, which could be JVM related.

I found it to be a lot of work to train.  It doesn't interact with other
programs, so you can't say "open email" and have it fire up email.  I
was looking for that to help a user who has trouble with keyboard and
mouse.  There are open software projects that use the ViaVoice SDK which
might do that, but IBM seems to have stopped making the SDK available in
March.  I'm kind of frustrated because it's impressive software, but not
quite there for what I need.
