KDE mouse pointer bug

I guessed KDE since the funny lines appeared/disappeared when I passed 
over windows.  BTW, I've got an optical Logitech mouse with wheel.  Just 
guessing my settings, they're something like:

Section "Mouse"
  Device        "/dev/input/mice"
  Protocol      "IMPS/2"
EndSection

I'll try your suggestion when I get home...
