another question about roadrunner

He meant broadband router/gateway with an integrated switch. Like the Linksys
BEFSR41, Netgear RT314, or the D-Link DI-704. You can't hook a vanilla switch to
the modem.

Damn! I never thought to connect the modem to the switch. How'd you do
that?
I have the PC "router" connected to the switch and the modem connected
to my PC, ummm... "router". Plus I paid $30ish for the switch, and
$40ish for the hubs (older and not in use now).
