Correction. There are several well-documented cases (some by medical
doctors who had reputations to protect) of people living without
food for extended periods of time. Some without water.

A Google search on "Therese Neumann" would be a good place
to start.

At least one person in Scotland died from trying to do this
the wrong way, though. So be careful. I simply mentioned it for
the purpose of showing that a horizon without limits is fruitful
to consider.

Since we've gotten pretty far afield, I will respectfully close
this thread with this single statement, that I hope justifies
this post to the Linux Users Group, which supports an operating system
built out of thin air (using a definition of 'thin air' which
is common outside of the Linux community):

"Anything is possible."

Q. It is said that you have fasted completely from food and
   drink since 1926.
A. Not exactly fasted. You see, in 1919 when I had to remain
in bed all the time I found it impossible to keep foods down,
so the doctor said I must be fed only liquids. Then in 1923
the paralysis moved into my throat. By 1926 I could take no
nourishment whatever, and it has remained so until now.

A. You mean do I use the toilet? No, I have not since September 1930.
Q. I don't quite understand. You said you stopped taking nourishment
in 1926. Now you say you stopped having normal bowel movements in
1930? How do you explain the period from 1926 to 1930 when you were
having bowel movements but were not eating?
