running scripts within the current c-shell

- It doesn't look like there's really a common, thriving version of ksh out
  there.  There's pdksh, which is free, but it kind of looks like its
  development has stopped.  There's the ATT ksh, released under some sort of
  freeish license.  And there are the vendor ksh's, not free, and probably all
  somewhat different.  Kind of a big mess from a compatibility standpoint.

- Debian doesn't seem to have a ksh package, which is a big strike against it
  (ksh) in my mind.

- bash is generally more featureful, has a better UI, is actively being
  developed, available for all platforms, is Free Software, etc., etc.
