Actually, this is what I would love to see happen... A Linux version with
less code bloat... thus more secure and easier to maintain... a graphical
interface that would be more familiar and less difficult for non-technical
people to learn (just installed fvwm95 on OpenBSD tonight and realized that
last summer I was trying to reinvent the wheel--it's all out there if
someone could just take the time to bring it all together)... some volunteer
effort to rebuild older systems and redistribute them to lesser privileged
individuals and schools around the metro (I read in Linuxformat about six
months back where some LUG in Indiana was doing this at one of their
meetings and mentioned it to Brian Kelsay... he said there was already a
nationwide agency named Christina.org that does this, but I had never heard
of them before... and they certainly don't appear to be doing anything
around here)... and a comprehensive curriculum for teaching people how to
use (u)nix-based systems... talk about power to the people!  (But, then
again--like I said before--some would call me a heretic...) :0)
