If you just need a quick visit to your mailbox while at a
browser, use NOCC. If you will be using it as your main e-mail
interface, you probably want openwebmail. Openwebmail has
more options, and is pretty, but nocc is straitup solid
which is great for my needs.
Been using nocc for close to a year now. No complaints. It's
very simple. I hacked it lightly to tailor it to my provider's
unusual login string "user%domain.org at domain.org" and found
the code clean and easy to work with.
Make sure and set your true e-mail address in preferences,
in case your login is different from your actual email
address.
