So this thread has degenerated to throwing mud back and forth?

C'mon people, you're not going to stop people from posting to the list
in HTML.

So people posting in HTML be considerate and send your mail in dual mode

(yes there is an option to send plain text along with the HTML), 
so those who don't use HTML capable readers can read your emails.

And you zealots out there, be considerate and stop trying to force your
ways
on everyone else. That never works, never has and never will.

Personally I prefer to get my mail without HTML, because HTML is a
security risk.
On any OS, yes even Linux WILL become vulnerable to HTML worms/cracks.
And many times I don't have the same fonts, or it comes 5 point
unreadable text.

Why remove support for non-standard codepages? 
I'd kind of like to be able to read an email from someone in Europe if
the joined this list. 
Are you trying to say "Sorry, this list is for English speaking
Americans only."

Yes we need to filter the spam and viruses out. 
It would be nice to strip the html too at the same time, since some
people will not send
email in html w/ text format.
