static IP options

Heh, I had the opposite problem. They overbilled me for a year despite
probably 5-10 calls (automated lines so at least 30 minutes on the phone
each call) to correct them. I finally told them, OK since you're
billing me for enhanced service, I'll take it (less all installation
charges). THEN, they corrected their mistake...all of one month before
I moved to an area with no DSL service :( I was quoted a total
installation charge of $450 to *upgrade* to enhanced service at the old
place which is why I never went for the static IP. Mind you, I had
basic service at the time. What a joke. Anyways, from what I've seen
RR is considerably faster than my old DSL connection. Guestimating, I
bet my connection here is 50-100% faster and they said my old DSL
account was about as fast as was available.
