Not sure if this will help you, but try this

http://opensource.creative.com there is an opensource driver here. If this
doesn't help try searching the Linux hardware database at
http://lhd.datapower.com

PS I generally go for externals anymore, they always seem to work (except
for those pesky winmodems).
