Kernel Make Dep error

Thanks to Jared Smith, my problem is solved!

I rm -rf /usr/src/linux and untarred/recompiled about 5 more times and it
worked.  Whoever said that the third time was a charm should be notified.
It took a few more tries, but that did the trick.

But here's the thing.  If I hadn't been so inspired by Jared's encouraging
message, I would never have gone those extra two times!  Thank you, thank
you, thank you!!!

Sounds like you need a new tie rod end,
or a clutch. Might need a transmission
overhaul, if it's automatic.

My guess is, you're low on oil. Could
be a socket wrench in your alternator fins,
that happened to me once; took me
days to figure it out.
