Where did you see Suse-Knoppix? Sun's Java Desktop (JDS), is sort of a Knoppix-Suse, as it uses Morphix base, with some Suse RPMs layered on top for the Live CD version and a lot of customization. Suse has a Live Eval: http://www.suse.com/us/private/download/suse_linux/index.html maybe that is what you are talking about.
