Just when I thought I had found a good laptop distro in Fedora, I downloaded the RPM for RealPlayer 8 ... now I have a very buggy system. :-( Then I find "*Bugzilla Bug 109526:* Installing RealPlayer RPM trashes RPM database". http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=109526 All subsequent attempts to install rpms have failed ... prior to attempting to install RealPlayer, all installations were a breeze. No big deal, really ... just thought I would post this for the benefit of anyone who may be thinking about doing the same. I think there are some procedures posted on the Web for avoiding this pitfall in the first place. I will either find a fix for this problem, or start over. I don't have time (yet) to do anything sensible, like learn Debian, but look forward to when I do. In the meantime , that's why I dual boot!
