Or, for a specific card, include its ID - ifconfig eth0 (that's 'zero')
for the first ethernet card, eth1 for the second, etc. That'll keep
your output down to what you need without scrolling. (Token ring has a
different designator, but I don't use it and can't remember what it is...)
