Oregonstate.edu seems to house piles upon piles of corrupted files.  
Downloading from another mirror solved my problem.  I have another 
question now.  I've been using wget to manually download the files as 
emerge asks for them, and I know there's gotta be a way that I can 
specify an alternate server so that emerge can download somewhere else 
instead.  So how would I do this?  Anyone know? :)
