Does anyone know of an application or plug in for netscape/mozilla that 
will properly read and display *.doc files or alternately, software 
convert them to post script files for printing?

The principal at my sons' school insists on e-mailing multi-page word 
files to all the parents instead of putting it on a server and mailing a 
link.  The superintendent of the school district posts her info on the 
web, but apparently this woman is too dumb or too stubborn (or is an 
ignorant windoze bigot) and refuses to follow her bosses lead!

I have star office 5.2, but it is such a resource hog and is fairly slow 
to load on my older machine.  I was looking for something quicker and 
less cumbersome than the download/run soffice/exit/delete file/delete 
note process.
