How do I get the resized partition to show up correctly? (No, I cannot purchase Partition Magic or PC Card) -----Original Message----- From: Joe Cho [mailto:joecho@everestkc.net] Sent: Friday, October 25, 2002 5:01 PM To: Philip, Anil [PCS] Subject: RE: cannot resize dual boot partition (RH 7.3) Hello, I have done this kind of dual-boot, triple-boot with Win98, NT, 2000 on my laptop, Linux with Partition Magic software for years when I had a limited systems at work and home. Finally I dropped this stuff since I can't afford wasting time for moving one system to another. I guess the best tool I have used was Partition Magic ( version 5.01 above allows for Windows 2000, XP). There are other tools as well such as Disk Commander?. It is really easy to resize the disk space, or add/remove the boot systems. You know what, one time at my previous work place I had experienced putting PC Card into Macintosh. This PC card allows real time dual boot, it runs both systems Mac and PC windows 98 simultaneously, when I switch one system to the other, hit Ctrl + Alt + S. ( of course, you can define these key combinations). It was neat, but it consume a lot of memory(RAM), you can allocate the memory as well. I hope it helps, Joe Cho, joecho@everestkc.net ksjoecho@yahoo.com Wisdom begins in wonder. --Socrates -----Original Message----- From: owner-kclug@marauder.illiana.net [mailto:owner-kclug@marauder.illiana.net]On Behalf Of Philip, Anil [PCS] Sent: Friday, October 25, 2002 2:40 PM To: 'kclug@kclug.org' Subject: cannot resize dual boot partition (RH 7.3) Hello, I have a dual boot (Win 98, RH 7.3, Dell Dimension) system. Recently I reinstalled Win 98 and also upgraded to RH 7.3. I tried to resize the partition. Using Disk Druid/Fdisk However from Win 98, I still see the old value of the disk size. Any help is appreciated. thanks, Anil
