Anyone have any open-source suggestions for writing an application which
could be used on a Windows box?  With VB it would be a slam dunk, but I
would like to do it using something else . . . expand my horizons as such.
Any suggestions?

(Basically this application would need to "build" a score card so it could
be sent via a Word or email document.)
