Wow, not at all like my experience, although I learned along time ago to only order business services from SWB. I have SWB DSL and aside from the crappy Cayman router (I replaced it with a Cisco 1720) it works flawlessly. The only real problem I have with them is price. I'm paying $69/mo for DSL (down from $79) but I think I could get it a little cheaper somewhere else. I have, however, had HORRIBLE experiences with Time Warner and am at the point where I need to get an attorney to intervene. Here's the short of my story with them: I had cable several years ago, I cancelled... they said I owed them $140... I paid them in cash and got a receipt. About a two years later I decide I want cable again. I call TW and they say, "Well, you owe us $140." "No, I paid that." "No, you didn't." "Yes, I did..." "Prove it." Well that was 2 years later. Who keeps a hand written cash receipt for $140 for two years?! My wife, that's who. :) So I had to take the receipt down to them, they made a copy and hooked me back up. I throw away the receipt thinking the story is over. No problem. A couple years later (we're going on 5 years in this timeline) I decide to move and buy a house. The bank runs my credit and tells me that before I buy a house I need to pay TW $140 that's in collections. WTF?!? So I call TW and say, "You have a collection account on my credit for $140. I paid that." "No you didn't." "Yes, I did." "No, you didn't." "Yes, I did." "Prove it." So I wrestle with them for another couple weeks. Finally I find someone who see's the logic that if I owed them $140 why would they have hooked me back up? So I need a letter from them stating the debt is satisfied. That was 30 days ago. I'm still waiting for my letter and calling them everyday to get my daily run around. Aaron > My throat is sore from badmouthing DSL service.
