Well, you're easiest solution is to unplug the box and parts and bring it into a meeting. It will be working when you leave. Of course the next is not until May Day (1st, not a pun here). You just missed your opportunity the last one was the 16th. I'd be glad to help if I can. Not sure what kind of timing issue there is there. I live North, really North, Independence really isn't on the way home, but not too far out of the way either. Here are some tips in the file /etc/inittab look for this line: id:3:initdefault: Change the 3 to a 5. The next time you reboot it will go to level 5. Or at least try. ***DANGER WILL ROBINSON*** make sure you have configured X first. Otherwise you could be in for lots of trouble, possibly even fry your monitor or video card. I have yet to see it happen, but I see that warning all the time. More likely you'll get some kind of garbled display, or infinite loop respawning. If you haven't configured X. > -----Original Message----- > From: mac ten [mailto:dlegion@yahoo.com] > Sent: Thursday, April 18, 2002 11:53 PM > To: kclug@kclug.org > Subject: Geeks on call ? > > > Greetings all, > I live in independence M.O, my address is 1408 N. > osage Trl.
