Given our discussions recently about cable, DSL, roadrunner and the like, I thought this piece of SPAM I received moments ago might interest some of you... I've opted not to forward it since it's html, and I don't generally think forwarding SPAM is such a great thing to do anyway. I've archived it for a short time at: http://www.moon-lite.com/~dustind/EarthLink.htm Anyway, the jest of the whole thing is that Earthlink will now be offering cable Internet access - and it looks like they'll be doing it using the Time Warner cable infrastructure. $41.95 a month (sound familiar twc customers?) with a web page, personal firewall (worthless) and anti-spam software. (Whatever that really means - do I have to use their mail server or what?) Mixed feelings here - good to see that Time Warner is open to competetion, if indeed that's what this is...
