To those of you who read the KCLUG list actively through the day, this one
is foryou.

Within the next 20 min or so, I will be executing the commands to move my
system overfrom Sendmail to Qmail.  I'm a bit nervous in doing this.  Before I do, I
would like to get someinput from my LUG.

I want to move to Qmail for the following reasons.  Please correct me if
I'm mis-informed!!

1.) They say configuration is easier than Sendmail.  (I'm not so sure
about this, as up to this point installation and configuration of qmail
has been VERYinvolved!)

2.) Maildir delievery.  This should allow the feature of "Folders that
contain sub-folders AND messages".  Am I wrong?

3.) Email for VirtualHosting is much
easier to configure and administer.  (Mainly I want to have users log into
SquirrelMail as"user@domain.com").

Now, I want to do this now, as my system has very few mail users, and I
don't want to change mail systems with a large userbase.

Some questions I do have, are how
will this affect my current IMAP server?  I think I'll need to get a
different one (thatsupports Maildir delievery).  How will this affect mailinglists
(currently, I usemajordomo.)?  Doesn't Qmail have mailing lists built-in?   How well does
Qmail work withmultiple domains?

I will be administering Qmail through Webmin.  Anyone do this
currently?  Is it easy/easier than sendmail?

Any input will be VERY much
appreciated!
