Procmail could be run from your home directory, nfs mount, etc... if you
want.  Just put a .forward and a .procmailrc in the home directory to get
things started.  The mail .forward file should be a pipe to procmail.

Procmail has some neat recepies for just about any mail need.  Its the 
greatest invention since sliced bread.
