Are you running on a 100 Mbps Ethernet connection? If so, are your NIC and switch port _both_ in full-duplex mode? Fluke and other companies make hardware lan testers that can test a connection for a number of problems. You could also try running a trace with Ethereal - it can show you the delta times between packets and graph TCP throughput. Which version of Windows are you running? Try running "netstat -es" - on my Win2K box it shows Ethernet, IP, UDP, and TCP statistics including discards and retransmits. > -SD > > > >
