Hey.. I got a friend in Chillicothe, Missouri who is getting ready to set up a flavour of Linux, e-smith, as his broadband gateway, but e-smith does not have a command line interpreter, and will only install RPM's. The drivers necessary for his broadband device, which is an Orinco Wireless receiver, (he's on broadband much like Sprint's wireless broadband), and the drivers need to be compiled. I'm wondering if anyone here knows how to build rpm's from tarballs. Please reqly privately if you can give me and my friend a hand. Thanks! Joseph N.
