I forgot to give basic info.  I ma running Mandrake linux 8.1 on a Dell 
Dimension 8100 Pentium 4 1.3 with 256 megs of ram.  Also, I booted into 
failsafe mode, and it changed a bunch of file permissions when it booted.  I 
am very confused and upset.  Any ideas?  Please let me know what further 
information I can give and I will do my best to collect it.
