Okay if you have added the drive and it is mounted then obviously you formated, fdisked and made a filesystem otherwise you wouldn't have the new drive mounted right? Forget about swap it should already be there as this is an additional drive and the system already had a swap drive. I would guess that it is now the permissions on /hdd2 that is fouling you up. Jose can you as the admin write to /hdd2? Try doing a ls -ld /hdd2. If you don't understand how to read the output post it here. Bill
