If you want really bad traffic, nobody beats Atlanta. They have the worst traffic in the nation, period. Worse even than LA. I had the opportunity to work in both of those cities at considerably more pay - no way. I live in the KC area by choice, I could make much more anywhere else. I'm here for the lifestyle and people, but the city planners need major brain overhauls. It must be a Missouri thing (Exhibit A: Branson, MO). It can take almost three hours to drive to the edge of the north burbs from the edge of the south burbs. Downtown Chicago royally sucks, it is going to cost you an arm and a leg to park anywhere and Chicago's public transportation leaves quite a bit to be desired. If circumstances permitted me to move back to KC I'd do it in a heartbeat! Feel fortunate, the KC area is really the Jewel of the Midwest as well as the Silicon Prairie. Mike Neuliep mike@illiana.net
