true, software may be faster than hardware, but if i'm
capturing video and using a software codec also in
conjunction with software raid then i would expect to
have far more dropped frames than i would if i had a
hardware raid setup just because if there are 2
proccessers working to do the work, it will have less
chance of maxing out than if there is only one (true,
this would make no difference if i was using say...
dual athalon 1100's)
