Hi, I am new to this list and to Linux. I was reading a previous post that 
indicated
software raid was a better solution in Linux. It went on to say software 
raid was
faster than hardware raid. I have always been told that hardware raid is 
always
much faster. Could you explain how this is the case (maybe this is different
in Linux, my information was pertaining to Windows NT environment).
