Depends on what you want to do with the Linux box... If you just want the Linux box to act as a client on the domain, just set up samba to log into the server. Last I checked, smb could not act as a "bdc" to a MS domain controller... Just one warning, make sure the "Domain Master" param in smb.conf is set to no, or samba will fight with NT over who is gets Master Browser rights. Here's a link to some smb docs that might help you out... http://us2.samba.org/samba/docs/ntdom_faq/page6.html On the other hand, if you want the NT server to log into a samba controlled domain, uh... I'm afraid I haven't attempted this (very cool) possibility... There's docs on it at samba.org, though, so someone's tried it. I have a peer-to-peer network with a Win98 machine and 2 Linux boxes set up at home, but I have never tried to insert a Linux box into an NT domain.
