Okay, just have to give you guys the lowdown on DSL. I got it installed yesterday. Booted into Linux, typed /sbin/dhcpcd (i think it was in /sbin anyway) and there it was. Could not have been any easier. Tis nice to download the latest kernel source in 75 seconds. Also, I was out at Best Buy yesterday and they had a IBM ThinkPad i1450 for cheap, so I bought it as I need a laptop to drag outside and hook up to the CCD camera on my telescope. I of course installed Linux on it. My problem is the machine hangs when it gets to the PCMCIA detection. It just sits there. So, when I boot I just make sure I hit "I" and skip over that step. But this brings me to a question - is it doing this because there is nothing in the pcm slot, or is it doing this because RH6.1 does not like the ThinkPad's pcm adapter? Since this is the first laptop I have ever used, I am not knowledgeable in these things. Randy
