I would say yes. In an ideal environment, you should not have any errors. Also, you should not have any collisions if you are running at full duplex. What is brand/model of NIC in your box? I had problems with my Linksys LNE100TX NICs lately. I had a newer version (5.1?) of the LNE100TX in my server and it would drop off the network completely, which required a soft reboot. I swapped the newer version of the card with an older version and the server has not dropped of the network once. I currently have an uptime of 27 days, 43 min; which is better than before. My server used to drop off the network once a day.
