I was very skeptical at first . . . I had grown to like having my Linux box beside my main computer so I could surf while something whas cranking away on that box. With my new system though, it really comes down to a matter of efficiency. One keyboard, one mouse, no no confusion on what's going on where. Cut and paste on one box. Simple. Think of it like this: If you are freelancing or doing other pay per hour work, a new PC can run about $800-900 or so. My productivity gains between this and the new software I bought will pay for this system in a month or less . . . meaning the other rewards will be pure bonus past that first month. I'll use my new found time to spend time with my family and work on a street rod project. How much is your time worth? If not from a $$ value but from a worth to family/friends/etc.... I'm sure I could kludged a few more boxes together and maybe equaled my current setup, but how much time is it to get those other boxes running? Doing something for fun and getting paid to do it can make a big difference on your return on investment numbers.
