Anything on an AS/400 is scary.  The cost to maintain those boxes are quite
expensive.  Yes they're fast and you can run multiple OS on top of the Timmy, 
but you'd be better of having separate boxes, especially if you need to take
something down for maintenance.



Just my opinion though.  As to how to best access a large notes database via
remote access, can't one make a query against the DB with notes?  This could
done through domino so one could even do it from a browser.  That way you
wouldn't have to replicate a DB down to the user.
