Have used ftape with out any problem. The real problem I'm having is finding any information on using Travan 8 gig IDE tape drives with Linux. These drives are very common and I need to be able to use these tape drives. The tape drives I'm using are HP and Seagate. Any help or even a webb site to check would be welcome. Have look at several webb sites and the only tape information is about ftape. Don
