Do what the movie stars do. File a complaint with the World Trade
Organization, your case will be reviewed, then to court if they feel it
should be yours, and next thing you know the registrars are forced to
comply. That's how Julia Roberts got her web site back and a few others.

Subject: snagging a domain name

there is a domain name that i would like to get.
unfortunately it was bought by a company back in 96.
searches have shown that it hasnt ever had a site up
as far as i know. its owned by a squatter it would
seem. but, they only want to sell you the "priviledge"
of having it so you can have an email address, or
subdomain. though from my searches, i havent found
that anyone is using it in any way. so is there a
LEGAL way to snag this up? the registration ends on
the 26th of this month. one thing that i see as a
potential problem, is i believe this company is also a
registrar. do i have any options? i have not contacted
them for fear of letting them know someone else is
interested. any advice would be great.
