Subject: HELP: unchecked partition

Linux always complains about mounting unchecked file systems at boot up. I ran
e2fsck on the partition like linux says to do. Then, I use shutdown -r now.
During the reboot linux still complains about mounting unchecked filsystems. I
even tried sync then halt before resetting the computer. Any help is appreciated.
