Start by locating the FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) that will not only
answer this specific question, but all the many other questions that people
ask when they haven't bothered to avail themselves of the FAQ. :)
The FAQ's can be located in news.answers (which EVERYONE should subscribe to
IMHO) and of course from rtfm.mit.edu
