   There are a few minor variations on this including the apsence of the first
   line, this being replaced with

   general protection: 0000

   and occationally something like

   NMI received - Dazed and confused trying to continue

The NMI received message could be caused by a memory parity error.
Given all of your other symptoms, it sounds like your memory is
seriously scrod. Are you sure your SIMMS are of the right speed for
your clock speed?
