Well,
I got my network working, and figured out named(sort of) and got my
nameserver working(sort of), and now I'm trying to get bootpd to work. I'm
using the version from the net-2 distibutions(I think), it's called in.
bootpd, and it works for some of my devices, and not for others. e.g. My
Laserjet 4, a MAC, and one of our PCs find it fine. Two other PCs don't.
before I get into heavy duty hardware description, has anyone had this kind
of problem before? I'd really like to fix it as I'm justifying the presence
of this machine on the basis of how much time central administration of IP
addresses and the like will save me..(|-))
