Subject: Linux configuration for 3c503 card

We have a PC 486-50 with a 3c503 ethernet Card running Linux.
When we try to connect to the network the operating system reports
this error:
                         Network is unreachable.

We have a DROP Cable at the moment.
Of course, this is a configuration problem.
Is there someone who can help us ?
