From: crw@maniac.mlb.semi.harris.com (Carl Williams) Subject: Any problems with ultrastore 14F SCSI controllers ? Date: Mon, 31 May 1993 16:08:16 GMT
I am shortly going to upgrade my system to add a SCSI tape drive, and currently
I do not have a SCSI controller. Also, in the future I would like to
add a SCSI hard drive (currently I have a 340meg IDE HD).
My Question is this: Did I see (in this newsgroup) problems with the
Ultrastor 14F SCSI controller?? What controller do people recommend for
linux (i.e. the Adaptec 1542B,C, Ultrastor 14F, Future Domain 16800).
I checked the hardware compabilty guide and it said linux would work
with all of the above scsi controllers.
Any input is appreciated !
Thanks,
--Carl
