I have an IBM 8514 monitor and would like to get it working with my trident
8900C video card. I now have it workging somewhat. I have it displaying
an image in 1024 x 532. The image produced is not in proportion and I
have to use a Virtual screen to display a greater area. When I try to
configure my trident/8514 to work at 1024x768 I get screen scatter or
a severly distored image. I tried using modegen to reconfigure my Xconfig
file but I have not had any success. I will be appreciative of any help
offered.
I also have a ATI graphic ultra that I borrowed from a friend to test with.
I found so 'X8514 drivers' supposedly for linux. I think that the files
are old though because they ask for the files 'libm.so.2.2 and
libc.so.2.2' I have version .4.3 in both cases on my system. Does anyone
know where I can find these files????
I hope that someone out there is running in the same configuration.
