Subject: ALPHA-pl10 stability (lack of *sigh*)
Date: 30 May 1993 21:20:45 GMT

I'm using the ALPHA-pl10 kernel along with XFree 1.2, sound-driv 1.0b,
the net-2c code built into pl10, selection, shadow passwords, chris
williams' keyboard_fix. 486 dx2/66 with 32M of mem. MCC 0.99.8 dist.
libc 4.3.3 ...

For some reason .. and not one i can really isolate given the amount of
different software im running .. ALPHA - pl10 locks up my machine for some
unknown reason. It's a sudden lockup, one second the machine is fine, the
next it's dead, requiring the big red key (gee, well least ext2fs 0.3 is
nice, stable and i've never had *any* errors / problems with that yet :-)
Oh well, i'd be interested if anyone has also experienced these sudden
lock-ups and perhaps has some fact's in common with mine or if they've
figured out whats causing it ..
