I just ordered Motif for Linux from Metrolink ($200 for mwm,
development kit and O'Reilly vol. 6). I was told by one of their
pgmers that the only legal way to distribute Motif binaries without
a runtime distribution license is to do static linked binaries. Baaah!
Be that as it may, I'm still going to try to learn X pgming from
this beast. After all, I can always give out my source and let the
user relink it him/herself.
