One word: Why?

There's very little different about Linux networking than with any other
UNIX system, especially with NET-2. Nearly everything compiles out of the box.

Why have a newsgroup to discuss "networking" when we already have so many
out there?

If every Linux user who had problems with networking would go read a book
on TCP/IP (not to mention the NET-FAQ), we wouldn't need a newsgroup.

I refuse to support a newsgroup to discuss issues which are easily solved
by refering to other sources.
